At 22, someone asked me what success looked like.

I said: corner office, six figures, VP by 30, respect from people who matter.

At 30, someone asked me the same question.

I said: freedom, control over my time, work I actually care about, ability to say no.

I told everyone my definition had evolved. Matured. That I’d outgrown the shallow ambitions of my early twenties.

That was a lie.

Not to them. To myself.
