There’s a Spanish magician named Dani DaOrtiz who’s famous for looking like he has no idea what he’s doing.

His table is a mess. Cards scattered everywhere, some bent, some face up, some on the floor. He’s laughing, shouting in broken English, asking spectators to “just throw the cards anywhere, it doesn’t matter.”

Then something impossible happens. A card a spectator merely thought of appears in an impossible location. Dani looks just as shocked as everyone else.

It looks like luck. Pure luck.

It’s not.
