What’s the meaning of life?
It sounds like an existential problem far too big for any of us to truly take on.
But realistically, it’s a lot less threatening than it seems.
The meaning of life is to have purpose, or to have a goal.
That is essential.
And the sooner you define it, the clearer everything else will become.
A life without a purpose is a life without a destination.
And being unable to define purpose means you won’t end up where you want to be, because you don’t even know where that is.
I’m not talking in platitudes, have a concrete, actionable 1, 3, 5, 10-year plan.
Map out the steps to get there, and whenever you can, throughout your day to day, default to taking the steps or actions that will get you one step closer to whatever that goal, vision or destination is.
Without process, there is no progress.
And it’s almost impossible to flail through life and end up where we want to be, successfully.
So know this and create the plan and roadmap to get you to where you want to be.
Every day won’t be perfect, but at least having a plan in place will keep pointing you in the right direction for where you want to end up, and step by step, you’ll get closer to that ideal end goal.
