Modern society is addicted to faster, better, quicker.

This delivers a quick dopamine response.

Dopamine is a happy hormone, it makes you feel good.

An example of this is when you “like” a post on social media, regarding a newsworthy event or human rights campaign.

You feel as though you accomplished something meaningful, and you feel good about yourself.

Serotonin & oxytocin are other happy hormones.

Serotonin flows when you feel significant or important.

Oxytocin is the glue that binds together healthy relationships.

To trigger serotonin or Oxycontin you have to build relationships, put in actual work, do something significant, exercise and relationship building also work.

To trigger dopamine, you can like a post on Facebook or shoot up heroin.

Fast is good, in some cases.

This isn’t one of them.

Whether it’s your contribution to society or your physical health.

There are no shortcuts.

Continued sustained effort over time will lead to desired results.

Politics, Social Justice, Business, Entrepreneurship, Healthy Lifestyle, Relationships.

The long game always wins.
