The danger of the shiny object
Working smart on the right thing will always win over working hard on the wrong thing.
Working smart on the right thing will always win over working hard on the wrong thing.
Beware the shiny object.
Beware the call of the opportunity Siren.
The constant pivots and ever alternating focus s the entrepreneurial rendition of “death by a thousand cuts”.
Some say that “hard work pays off.”
But this only makes sense if you are sure of what you want.
If you don’t know the answer, hard work will never yield results.
But if you know what you want, but you just don’t know how to go about achieving it, then stop chasing new shiny things, and start working smarter.
Start working smarter.. and focused.
You can learn any skill in six months if you invest time and practice.
The shiny thing, actually isn’t hard to get to work with mediocre proficiency.
If you keep playing at a comfortable level, you will never be good enough to achieve your goal.
Start building a thing (career or company) that is true to who you are as a person.
A thing that doubles down on what you’re amazing at.
Don’t play the same game all over again.
Find yourself something that really pushes you and inspires you to be the best version of yourself.
Laser focus.
Distractions -> off.
