Only do things that give you energy.
For example, right now I’m booking podcast guests, blasting EDM, and I could literally do this for the rest of my life.
When your job gives you massive energy, that’s when you know it’s what you’re meant to do.
If you’re waking up every day and feel lethargic, stressed, spread too thin, it’s a good sign that something in your life isn’t aligned.
Listen to your body, it tells you more than you think.
I’m not saying that if you need to call it quits if you wake up a little groggy, but pay attention to your energy levels over an aggregate of days and weeks.
You’ll notice trends.
Certain things excite you.
Certain things turn you off.
Focus on doing more of what excites you and gives you energy, and of course, less of what drains you.
It could be within the confines of the duties of a job, focusing on aspects of your job where you’re constantly winning, and perhaps outsourcing parts of the job that act as a drain on your energy levels..
Or it could be in a more broad, macro context, realizing your side hustle gives you more energy than your 9–5, and you want to jump into it, full time.
Regardless, pay attention and be self-aware to these signals you’re receiving & start moving yourself in that direction.
And for those wondering the exact song. Call Me Greyhound (Kap Slap Bootleg) — Swedish House Mafia ft. Carley Rae Jepsen.
Try and listen to that and not get pumped up.
I dare you.
