As an organization, we used to run in-person daily stand-ups with multiple groups across my entire organization. For me, these meetings were critical to keep everyone informed.
Since we started working from home, it’s even more important for us to stay connected as a team. However, the added responsibilities we’ve all taken on at home have made it difficult to find the time. Our company’s fix for this is my Productivity Hack #3 as a #MicrosoftPartner. 👇
*We started using ScrumGenius within Microsoft Teams to eliminate the need for our virtual meeting.*
Instead, 2 questions are automatically sent to my team via chat in Teams at 9AM each day: What are your 3 main tasks you’ll complete today? And what roadblocks are you experiencing? Once answers are submitted, an email summary of responses is sent to the wider team for review. This way, our team can review at their own convenience throughout the day, and get the clarity and alignment needed without having the call. As a leader, I can also keep a regular beat on what is happening across my team, and identify who might require my support.
