I’m really bad at giving to charity.
I’m really bad at giving to charity.
Someone posts a fundraiser, I throw in $50. December hits, I pick a few charities last minute. No plan.
This year I’m trying something different.
It’s this thing called GoFundMe Giving Funds. It’s a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) backed by GoFundMe.
You set money aside for giving before the end of the year deadline. You get the tax deduction now. Then you donate it whenever you’re ready—next week, next year, whenever.
No pressure to decide immediately. If you want, you can invest the balance so it grows and you could have more to donate.
No minimum. No fees.
I wish I’d set this up years ago.
